Emotional Self Care

Emotional self care is being aware of how we are feeling and recognizing how our emotions affect others. It’s okay to recognize your feelings. Many of us have learned to keep our feelings suppressed. Some cultures have taught our boys and men that they can’t cry because it will make them look weak. We have to get out of these cliche traditions. It is so important to take care of our emotional needs. This is done through identifying one’s feelings and choosing to respond in a way that cannot hurt others.
